One of the freshest new rappers out there, Mac Miller gives this old school track a new feel. Some of you already know about Miller, but you may not have heard this song. Check it out--its sick.
This Philly rapper is just too sick. He reminds me alot of Cudi, and this song's got a chill, laid back beat. Sure to be posting more of his stuff. Check it out.
A true hip-hop track from that boy Freddie Gibbs. This Southern California rapper has been getting a lot of attention lately, and people are starting to compare him to Tupac. The song comes from his new mixtape, Stra8 Killa no Filla, that dropped earlier this year. Give the old-school beat a listen.
This song has been floating around for a few weeks now. If you haven't heard of Atmopshere, they are a sick Minnesota hip-hop group with lead rapper Slug. It's got that end of summer, laid back beat, so chill. Give it a listen.
Download the song HERE.
Here's a sick track from Drizzy. It's slower than a lot of Drake's recent stuff, but it's still sick.
Part of the song is chopped n screwed; it's simply dope. check it out.
So this song isn't exactly new. In fact, it was released in '95. But it's still a sick old-school rap track so give it a listen. Some of the boys from the Pharcyde have formed a new group, the Almyghty Myghty Pythons. Check them out on iTunes and Youtube.
Check out this video by David Dallas. It's a remix to Ratatat's hit song "Loud Pipes." Dallas is a New Zealand rapper who is pretty well known in his country, but has yet to hit it big in the States. He has several good songs, check him out on iTunes.
Can't find a way to post the song for download, but here's the YouTube video..
Even though it's about a year old, I'm sure very few people have heard of this song or Mixtape Messiah 7, the mixtape produced by the Chamillitary label. I first listened to the song because of its title; Denzel is the man.
Check it out.
Check out this song by rapper J.Cole. You may not have heard of him, but he was the first artist to be signed to Jay-Z Roc Nation label. Sweet bass line and sick rhymes.
Download "Higher" HERE.
This song, "Let the Beat Build," was both filmed and recorded in one shot. at the same time. The song itself is sick, and the video is pretty cool. Unfortunately I couldn't find a way make the song available for download, but watch the video anyway.
Check out Nyle at his website http://nyleraps.com/wordpress/
Here are two mashups playing Biggie's smooth lyrics off of the British band The xx's relaxed chorus lines. New York thug and British indie pop don't sound like they would match, but these two songs are sick. Check them out.
Almost everyone loves Kid CuDi. Well here's a brand new song that isn't on iTunes yet. In fact, it's only been released on the radio. I've posted a recording that was ripped straight from the radio, but the sound quality is still good. I wasn't too sure about it at first, but it keeps growing on me the more I listen to it. Turn up the bass and enjoy.
Here's a sick track from rapper Curren$y featuring Wiz Khalifa. The intro/chorus beat is excellent. All around one of the chillest songs I've heard in a while.
Also, check out Curren$y's new album "Pilot Talk," especially "Address" which is perhaps the best song on the album.
First post ever on TDA. This song, by Dyme Def, is called "Let it Be." It's a semi-mashup incorporating the Beatles hit from 1970 "Let it Be." It's got a really smooth bass line, and the lyrics are sick. I guarantee you'll be putting this one on repeat.
Dyme Def is a hip-hop trio based out of Seattle, Washington. They recently dropped a new album called "Sex Tape," so check it out on iTunes HERE.
